Fundraising

Throughout the year, The GBCHAA holds several fundraising events as well as some money-making projects that are ongoing:

The Greater Barber County Historical Action Association, Inc. has created "Country Cooking," a book of favorite recipes contributed by current and past residents of Barber County, Kansas.

The book features family recipes, handed down through generations and pieces of Barber County history, told as only family can tell.

Cookbooks are available for $12.95 each at The Heritage Center or ask any GBCHAA member.

At one time, there were over 28 towns in our county.  Nowadays, there are only 8 incorporated cities left, but you can see for yourself where the historical towns of Lodi, Stubb, Lasswell and others were once located.

Purchase one of our beautiful, woven, historical Barber County Throws for $50 (sales tax included!).  Available in Hunter Green, Country Blue and Cranberry, these throws feature a map of Barber County, names and locations of all 28 historical and current towns as well as a representation from each incorporated town depicting a particular point of historic pride.

These unique throws are available at The Heritage Center also, or ask any GBCHAA member

This throw was designed by a member of the Greater Barber County Historical Action Association, Inc.
